Terms & Conditions

    1. General

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings made through olivier.ski for private ski lessons and off-piste experiences with Olivier BELY, private ski instructor based in Val d'Isère, France.

    Professional Ski Instructor Card: n° 07304ED9586 - valid until June 07, 2031.
    Verifiable at: recherche-educateur.sports.gouv.fr/CartePro/07304ED9586

By completing a booking, you agree to the following terms.

    2. Booking, Prices & Payment

Prices are shown in euros at the time of booking. Lift passes are not included.

A deposit is required to confirm your booking. Its amount is shown before payment (currently 30% of the total session price). When full payment is requested at booking, the amount due is likewise shown before payment.

The remaining balance is due on the day of the session and can be paid by bank card (via Stripe, including through a secure payment link), bank transfer, or cash.

Online payments are processed securely by Stripe. Card details are never stored on this website.

    3. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 12° of the French Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services provided on a specific date or period. Your booking is therefore governed by the cancellation policy below.

    4. Cancellation by the Client

Cancellation more than 48 hours before the session:
The deposit will be refunded in full.

Cancellation less than 48 hours before the session:
    The deposit is non-refundable.

Cancellations must be made in writing by email to: booking@olivier.ski
The cancellation time is determined by the date and time the email is received.

Refunds are made to the card used for payment. They usually appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

    Late arrival and no-show:
Sessions start at the agreed time and cannot be extended in case of late arrival. A no-show without notice is treated as a cancellation less than 48 hours before the session.

    5. Weather, Mountain Conditions & Cancellation by the Instructor

If weather conditions, resort closure or safety reasons prevent the session from taking place, or if Olivier BELY has to cancel it, you may choose between:

    • a rescheduled session during your stay, whenever possible;
    • a credit note valid for 18 months for the full amount paid;
    • a refund of the amount paid.

    6. Off-Piste Sessions

Off-piste skiing involves specific mountain risks, including avalanches, which cannot be entirely eliminated. By booking an off-piste session, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Each participant must carry an avalanche transceiver (DVA), a shovel and a probe. This equipment can be rented in resort.

You must declare your skiing level accurately when booking.

Olivier BELY reserves the right not to ski off-piste, or to stop at any time, depending on weather conditions, the avalanche risk level published for the resort, and the actual technical level observed on the day. In that case, the session continues on-piste or in a suitable area, and this does not give rise to any refund or compensation.

    7. Safety & Liability

All sessions are conducted under the responsibility of Olivier BELY, holder of the French State Diploma (Brevet d'État d'Éducateur Sportif - Alpine Skiing), professional card n° 07304ED9586.

Participants are required to follow the instructor's safety guidelines at all times. Olivier BELY reserves the right to modify or shorten a session if conditions are deemed unsafe or if a participant's behaviour endangers themselves or others. If a session cannot take place, section 5 applies.

Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, or hold their written authorisation. The person making the booking is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided about all participants (age, level, health conditions relevant to the activity).

    8. Insurance

Olivier BELY holds professional liability insurance (Responsabilité Civile Professionnelle) with AXA France IARD SA - GBC Montagne, policy number 11032969204, valid from January 20, 2026 to October 31, 2026.

Coverage includes bodily injury, material and immaterial damages up to €20,000,000 per insurance year, search and rescue costs up to €200,000 per year, and environmental liability.

Participants are strongly advised to hold their own valid travel and ski insurance covering personal accident, medical expenses, and mountain rescue.

    9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by French law. Any dispute arising from a booking shall be subject to the competent courts of France, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence, including your right to bring proceedings before the courts of that country.
